What is Tempered Glass:
Tempered glass is also called safety glass, reinforced glass or toughened glass. It’s about 3 - 5 times stronger than regular glass. In order to improve the strength of glass, chemical or physical methods are usually used to form compressive stress on the glass surface. Therefore, the tempered glass has excellent performance on tensile strength, thermal shock resistance and safety. Because of these properties, tempered glass is preferred in applications where strength, safety and thermal resistance are important considerations.
